The things that move people's souls are the wonders of nature, the words of great predecessors, the directness of people, and beautiful design. Editor Igarashi's desire to “introduce to the world beautiful designs with a long time horizon” had been growing day by day.
In the fall of 2016, Igarashi met Fukuoka on a trip to visit famous buildings in Chicago and New York. Through their conversation, Igarashi sensed Fukuoka's great potential as a housing writer. She is optimistic and a mother with a family. Above all, she values the invisible and perceives things with her senses.
In early winter, two years after their first meeting, they established Arts & Design Office/Now and Then, and began brand direction of the new morinoie ®︎.

人の魂を動かすものは、自然の驚異、偉大な先人の言葉、直向きな人の姿、そして美しいデザイン。「時間軸の永い美しいデザインを世に送り出したい」編集家五十嵐の想いが募る日々が続いていました。
2016年秋、シカゴ〜ニューヨークの名建築を訪ねる旅で五十嵐は福岡と出会います。五十嵐は会話を通して住宅作家としての大きな可能性を福岡に感じます。楽観的であり、家庭を持つ母親であること。そして何よりも目に見えないものを大切にして事物を感覚で捉えること。
二人のはじめてましてから2年後の初冬、Arts&Design Office／Now and Thenを設立、新しいモリノイエ®︎のブランドディレクションの始まりです。
